F-15 Automated Weight and Balance System Support
Contract Overview
Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The contract supports the ongoing software maintenance of the F-15 Automated Form F system, a critical tool used to automate the generation of flight clearance forms required for each flight. These forms, known as Form Fs, are essential for ensuring the aircraft remains within safe weight and center of gravity limits by automatically pulling data from the Automated Weight and Balance System. The system has been developed and refined over time to handle the increasing complexity of F-15 configurations and modifications, integrating load items, fuel amounts, and operational limits directly from the aircraft’s weighing data. This effort focuses on maintaining and updating the F-15-specific generator to keep pace with evolving technologies and airframe changes, ensuring continued safety and operational readiness. The work is being conducted under the Department of Defense’s Office at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, with primary point of contact Gregory Hendricks and secondary contact Tyler Smith, under solicitation number FA8505_25_F-15AWBS, classified under NAICS code 541512 for computer systems design services.

Full Description
Automated Form F (AFF) is an aircraft specific computer program to automate generation of flight clearance forms, known as
Form Fs, for DoD aircraft. Form Fs must be generated prior to each flight for each specific aircraft type to ensure safety of
flight. Automated Form F generators have been developed by Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LM AERO) for the A-10, F-15, F-16,
F-22, F-35, F-117, C-130, C-5, B-2, and U-2. These Form F generators have proven to be the best way to take the weighing data
stored in the Automated Weight and Balance System (AWBS) and complete aircraft specific Forms Fs for each load, with limits,
load items, and fuel automated for the specific airframe. As aircraft configurations change and new modifications are
developed, aircraft weight and balance becomes increasingly complex and requires new tools and updates to existing tools to
ensure that aircraft are flying safely and within their weight and center of gravity limits. Technologies are changing rapidly,
requiring the existing AFF to be updated frequently to ensure the most up-to-date tools and technologies are being used. This
effort is for the software maintenance of the F-15 AFF system.
