This contract, managed by the Department of the Interior's Colorado State Office, involves critical repairs to the Roy Pray Mine Site portal. Because the site is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places, all work must follow a specific plan to maintain its integrity and requires oversight from a BLM approved archaeological monitor. The scope of work includes excavating the portal area and installing a new portal structure and replacement gate, with steel sets extending from Station 0+84 to Station 1+12.5. To ensure stability and prevent impact loading, these sets should be lagged with steel material and overhead cavities filled with polyurea silicate void filling foam. Roy Pray Portal Repairs The Roy Pray Mine Site has been determined to be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). A work plan will need to be developed that does not affect the site's eligibility and integrity. A BLM approved archaeological monitor will be required to monitor the activities. Excavate the portal area and then install a properly designed and constructed portal structure and replacement gate, with steel sets extending from approximately Station 0+84 to Station 1+12.5. It is recommended that these sets be lagged with steel channel or other steel material and that cavities overhead be filled with polyurea silicate void filling foam to prevent impact loading. As a matter of routine safety, the entire adit should be thoroughly scaled and afterwards, any rockfall or debris on the invert should be removed to eliminate unnecessary tripping hazards. Existing tripping hazards should be cleaned up as well. Rockbolting and meshing should be installed as an appropriate risk reduction measure to protect personnel during safety inspections.

B--GUSG HABITAT HYDRO-LOGIC RESTORATION 202
Solicitation # 140L1726R0010
Solicitation 140L1726R0010 is a total small business set-aside construction contract issued by the Department of the Interior's Colorado State Office. The project focuses on hydrologic restoration to benefit the endangered Gunnison sage-grouse in the Crawford, Colorado area. The primary objective is to improve drainage on approximately 7.75 miles of rural roads by installing 204 rolling dips and associated lead-out ditches. These structures are designed to redirect surface water off roadways and onto adjacent sagebrush vegetation to mimic natural hydrologic flow. Construction is strictly limited to a work window between August 30, 2027, and October 22, 2027, although the overall period of performance extends through October 29, 2027. The government will utilize a best-value tradeoff award method, weighing price equally against the combined factors of technical approach, past performance, and schedule. Technical requirements are stringent, requiring rolling dips to be constructed at approximately a 30-degree angle with a cross slope between 4% and 8%, and lead-out ditches not to exceed 57.5 feet in length. Performance is monitored via a Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan, with a 95% acceptance threshold for inspected structures and zero tolerance for disturbances in identified avoidance zones. The contract is subject to Davis-Bacon Act wage determinations and requires contractors to maintain liability insurance and provide resumes for key personnel demonstrating significant experience in project planning and well installation.
