Full Description

This announcement makes changes to the hydro-tech study previously announced on September 30, 2005. The list of support activities previously specified had to be changed to avoid entering into a personal services type arrangement which is prohibited by FAR 37.104. The Designated Competitive Sourcing Official is Dr. P Patrick Leahy, Acting Director of the U.S. Geological Survey. The USGS requires support for hydrologic support operations which includes performance of the following activities: 1. Ground-Water Field Support activities Well and spring site inventory documentation Well Datum Survey Levels Routine recording well site general maintenance Removal of abandoned monitoring wells infrastructure 2. Surface-Water Field Support activities: Routine surface-water station survey levels Datum surveying Annual maintenance and repair of infrastructures at field locations Surface-water station removal of infrastructures at field locations 3. Office Support activities: Misc. Sediment laboratory support Sample preparations area support Sediment/borehole core library support Ground-Water Records Support Surface-Water Records Support Water-Quality Records Support Records Management Support 4. Warehouse and Equipment Support Activities which includes warehouse/storage yard activities including receiving and organizing stock equipment, supplies and building materials in warehouse/storage yard; clean warehouse/storage yard/charge, test/recharge/recycle batteries, etc. 5. Vehicle Support Activities including maintenance support; clean vehicles, perform maintenance checks and perform minor repairs; deliver and pick up vehicles to service facility, etc. The draft performance work statement will be available at www.FedBizOpps.gov during August 2006.
