Full Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has a requirement to procure sixteen (16)additional F414-GE-400 Lot 22 engines and devices via modifications to fixed price, sole source contract N00019-17-C-0047 to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) in support of F/A-18 Super Hornet aircraft production. GEAE is the sole originator, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the F414-GE-400 Engine, and is the only known source with the requisite technical knowledge, specialized expertise, facilities, capability, tooling and technical data, and qualified personnel necessary to fulfill these potential future requirements within the timeframe required. However, this sources sought synopsis is issued as required by DFARS PGI 206.302-1. If other potentially capable companies are interested, please submit capability statement packages to the Government. Electronic submissions in PDF or Word format is preferred. The submittal shall be no more than 10 pages in length that demonstrates the respondent's ability and qualification necessary to show competitive production capability for delivery of required engines during 2020. In addition, please provide your company's business size and CAGE code. All properly marked proprietary data received in response to this notice will be protected from release outside of the Government.
