The 460th Contracting Squadron at Buckley Space Force Base is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Request for Information to identify qualified vendors capable of designing, engineering, procuring, and installing a complete outdoor multipurpose scoreboard system at the fitness center field in Aurora, Colorado. This effort is purely for research and does not constitute a solicitation or guarantee of future award. The contractor must deliver a fully functional scoreboard compliant with technical requirements including super-bright LED displays visible in direct sunlight, wireless controller operation beyond 300 feet, weather resistance against high winds, hail, and extreme temperatures, and a reinforced concrete foundation designed by a licensed engineering partner with certified drawings. The project also demands removal of all packaging and debris, coordination with civil engineering for permits with a mandatory 15-day lead time, and provision of temporary power via generator if the permanent electrical line is not yet installed. Vendor responses must include examples of at least two similar government, municipal, or educational installations completed in the past five years, a detailed warranty covering all parts and labor for a minimum of five years, operating manuals, and a comprehensive project timeline from award to final acceptance. The North American Industry Classification System code referenced is 339950 with a small business size standard of 500 employees, though an earlier mention of 238990 with a $19 million threshold may reflect internal ambiguity. All responses are due by May 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time via email to specified points of contact, with no other submission methods permitted. The contractor must have access for large trucks and lift devices at the site, and personnel will be expected to conduct a full demonstration of scoreboard functions for joint government inspection at the installation location before acceptance. While no formal contract type, funding details, or evaluation criteria are defined at this stage, vendor submissions will directly inform the development of future procurement documents. Requirements emphasize technical compliance, environmental durability, documentation completeness, and proactive risk mitigation. No formal FAR clauses, representations, certifications, or socioeconomic set-asides are mandated in this pre-solicitation phase, nor are payment, accounting, or invoicing details established. The scope excludes security clearances and organizational conflict of interest provisions, focusing exclusively on the technical execution, logistical feasibility, and post-installation support of the scoreboard system.
