The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office intends to award a sole source delivery order to Honeywell International for the procurement of 40 Face Seal Assemblies, part number 3502534-5. These components are direct replacements for the Gas Turbine Starter Engine used in H60 aircraft. Because Honeywell International is the original manufacturer and holds the proprietary drawings, market research indicates they are the only responsible source capable of satisfying the government's requirements under FAR Subpart 6.302-1. This notice serves as an intent to award rather than a request for competitive quotes, though the government will consider quotes or evidence of unique capabilities submitted within fifteen days of publication. The final decision to proceed with a sole source award or move to a competitive procurement remains at the sole discretion of the government. The procurement is managed by the Fleet Readiness Center East Support Team located in Cherry Point, North Carolina.
