The Defense Health Agency Medical Logistics Division, along with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical/Surgical Prime Vendor program, is preparing to establish a Qualified Supplier List for Face Shields. This notice serves only to inform interested parties that a Sources Sought announcement will be released around June 27, 2020, on the beta.SAM.gov website. The list aims to identify suppliers of face shields used as personal protective equipment in healthcare settings, which are single-use, available in various sizes, and free of natural rubber latex. The effort is part of the Medical Materiel Enterprise Standardization Office’s ongoing initiative within the MSPV program to standardize and incentivize procurement through future agreements. To qualify for inclusion on the listing, vendors need to have or be in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement and a separate commercial agreement with current prime vendors like Cardinal Health or Owens & Minor for the designated areas of responsibility. Additionally, vendors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) along with a valid CAGE code and meet Trade Agreements Act compliance requirements. This notice does not request submissions or proposals at this time, and no responses or inquiries are appropriate until the formal solicitation is released. Further details on the QSL requirements will be provided in the forthcoming official announcement, accessible through the DLA’s medical logistics website.
