This is not a Request For Quotations. No questions will be accepted or answered. This is a notice that the IRS exercised FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, on its Oracle ELA BPA TIRNO12Z00001 for an additional six months of software maintenance of its existing Oracle ELA licenses. The rationale for the extension is below: "The IRS Enterprise Operations has an on-going requirement for the brand name software maintenance, including technical support, of the Oracle ELA BPA, currently provided under BPA TIRNO-12-Z-00001 with Mythics, Inc. The Oracle ELA software maintenance is critical to the IRS operations and cannot lapse without great risk to the IRS. Oracle software maintenance is critical to several applications including but not limited to Affordable Care Act (ACA), Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FATCA), which are both legislatively mandated, as well as Modernization eFile (MeF) and Customer Account Data Engine (CADE) 2. Failure to renew the software maintenance will result in the inability to deliver filling season 2014. TIRNO-12-Z-00001 is a firm fixed price BPA. TIRNO-12-Z-00001, was awarded on September 30, 2011, for a term of a base year and two one-year option periods. The IRS is currently in the second option period ending on September 30, 2014. Modification 0003 to DO 0003 extends the term pursuant to clause FAR 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services, for the period October 1, 2014, through March 31, 2015, at the BPA's firm fixed price rate of $4,753,156.13. Modification 0003 to DO 0003, will extend the term of the BPA until a new Oracle ELA BPA can be awarded. The new Oracle ELA BPA is currently in the pre-solicitation phase and the anticipated award date is March 31, 2015. Modification 0003 to DO 0003, is within scope because there are no changes in the statement of work and the price of the six month extension is determined to be fair and reasonable. Only Mythics, Inc can provide the required software maintenance as Mythics, Inc is the current provider of the software maintenance and this is a six month extension to the current delivery order."
