Acquisition of two (2) dental chairs that meet or exceed the specified characteristics of ADEC 311 chair equal to or better.


Quotes for alternative models of equal or superior quality are acceptable, provided that comprehensive supporting documentation demonstrating equivalency is submitted with the quote. (This is a supply and install requirement)
 
Essential Salient Characteristics (Mandatory Requirements): 
The dental chair and delivery system must provide support for the patient, while simultaneously allowing the operator to move closely for a healthy posture and an optimal view of the oral cavity. Four handpiece position control block, Control head provides room to house five integrated clinical devices and accessories, Five individual adjustable instrument holders, Washable tray pad, Multi-voltage intraoral light source with independent adjustable settings, Touch pad with left/right operator positioning (allowing for rotation and tilt), Can be configured for left- or right-handed operator, Adjustable water and air coolant, Adjustable cushioned head rest, Disc Foot Control (Rheostat), Have a range of lift heights: 10" to 30," Reclining cushioned backrest ranging: positive (+)70 degrees to negative (-)5 degrees, Chair swivel: (30 degrees to either side), Hydraulic drive system. The current unit has 3 handpiece, and 1 air/water on the delivery system. The assistant side has air/water, high speed suction, and saliva ejector.


BASIS FOR AWARD (BEST VALUE TRADEOFF): Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote represents the Best Value to the Government, based strictly on a trade-off between the physical features of the chair and the offered price.  Evaluation Factors:  Technical Capability, price, delivery. The Government reserves the right to award to a higher-priced offeror if the physical features, structural superiority, or clinical layout of their dental chair provide a clear ergonomic or operational advantage that justifies paying a price premium.
