FDA - AI sample finder for Zeiss inverted microscope

The FDA is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify capable vendors that can provide an AI sample finder system compatible with an existing Zeiss AXIO Observer Z1 inverted fluorescence motorized microscope, serial number 383400118. The goal is to integrate a complete solution including microscopy software, a scanning stage upgrade, a new camera and adapter, and the Bioapps Toolkit, with mandatory components such as the Axiocam 305 mono R2 camera, a C-mount adapter, a 130x100 PIEZO scanning stage, a PIEZO stage controller, a universal mounting frame, the AI sample finder for Observer, and the Zen Toolkit for Bio Apps with a software upgrade to ZEN 3.10. This is not a solicitation for proposals, and no contract will result directly from this notice; instead, the agency is gathering technical, commercial, and capability information to inform future acquisition planning. Responses must include comprehensive business information such as the Unique Entity ID from SAM, business size status under NAICS code 334516, business address and website, primary contact details, and manufacturer identification if applicable, along with their UEI and size status. Past performance data for identical or similar systems sold within the last three years is required, including dates of sale, dollar values, client names and contacts, and technical descriptions. Offerors must provide descriptive literature, brochures, or marketing materials demonstrating technical compliance with specifications and must indicate their ability to initiate service within five business days of notification, including historical response times. Participation requires disclosure of any applicable GSA Schedule contracts, Best in Class government-wide agreements, and subcontracting opportunities for small businesses if applicable. Informational pricing is welcome but not required, and responses must specify the place of manufacture or service performance to support Buy American and Made in America analyses. Standard commercial warranty and payment terms must be included, and respondents must state whether the requirements are restrictive.
