Fiber to the Home Construction Project

The City of Sherwood, Oregon, is soliciting construction services for a fiber-to-the-home project under solicitation RFP-2026-0001. The project involves the underground installation of a 1 and 10 gigabit XGS-PON distribution network covering all premises within the city. The scope of work focuses exclusively on fiber construction components, including the installation of single-mode fiber-optic cables ranging from 24 to 864 strands, two-inch conduits, vaults, handholes, and fiber distribution cabinets. The contractor is responsible for all labor, directional boring, splicing, testing, and restoration, while active electronics are excluded from this bid.
