Goochland County is seeking to obtain the services of a qualified consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive assessment of Goochland County’s financial operations, policies, procedures, internal controls, and related business processes. The selected consultant will evaluate the effectiveness, consistency, and adequacy of the County’s current financial and administrative practices, identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations designed to strengthen governance, improve operational efficiency, enhance internal controls, mitigate operational and financial risk, and promote accountability and transparency. The engagement will include the review, revision, and development of policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures based on the consultant’s assessment and recommendations. The consultant will work with the County management and designated staff to develop practical, sustainable and clearly document processes that support effective financial management and operations.
