The New York State Department of Transportation is seeking price quotes for the supply of fine and coarse aggregates, specifically Trailway Top Course, Stone Dust, and Crusher Run Limestone Course, to be used in Vendor Placed Paving projects in Clinton County for maintenance and operations purposes. This procurement is being conducted under the Department’s discretionary purchasing authority, allowing for non-competitive awards, particularly favoring small businesses, certified minority and women-owned business enterprises (MWBE), service-disabled veteran-owned businesses (SDVOB), and vendors offering recycled or remanufactured commodities. Interested vendors must communicate through designated contacts, Jennifer Walter and Otto Ambuhl, by the specified deadlines, with all inquiries and submissions directed via email. The contract is a one-time purchase with a value estimated between $50,000 and $200,000, and all bids must be submitted by September 15, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Bidders are required to be registered with the New York State Department of Labor to participate, and bids will remain valid for 60 days or until an award is made. The solicitation emphasizes compliance with federal and state nondiscrimination laws, including Title VI, and notes that certified firms are encouraged to bid, although the project does not set specific participation goals for DBE, MWBE, or SDVOB firms. The contract details, including standard clauses and legal requirements, are incorporated into the solicitation, which is accessible through the NYS Department of Transportation’s procurement portal.
