Fire Hydrants Maintenance Services

The County of Orange, through OC Community Resources, is seeking a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive maintenance services on approximately 112 fire hydrants located across 16 OC Parks sites, with primary performance occurring in Brea, California. The work requires annual inspections and testing in full compliance with NFPA 25 and five-year flow testing and marking as dictated by NFPA 291, including detailed documentation of each hydrant’s condition, functionality, water pressure, and flow rate. The contractor must perform all necessary minor repairs using approved, like-for-like replacement parts and submit repair quotes for County approval prior to execution. All services must adhere to the California Fire Code and manufacturer specifications, with reports submitted for each hydrant to ensure full traceability and accountability. The contract is structured as a firm-fixed-price agreement with a three-year base term and a two-year optional extension, though no minimum or maximum order quantities are guaranteed. Bidders must be registered in SAM.gov with a valid Unique Entity Identifier and may qualify for Local Small Business or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise preferences, which are applied as a cost adjustment on the bid price.
