Obtaining savanna seed mixes for seeding to establish oak-pine savannas with vegetation that is fire adapted to reduce fuel loading and create natural fuel breaks within Wildland Urban Interface areas. The seed mix will be ordered in increments of 12.1875 lbs the amount required to plant one acre of land. The first Task Order is for 268.125 lbs the amount required to plant 22 acres which is the expected average to be planted annually. Project seed production for each year may potentially increase or decrease based on funding. This meets the USFS Chief established priorities for 2026.
