The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division in Lakehurst, New Jersey, is seeking to procure specific precision gas flow calibration system components and sub-assemblies for the Fluke Corporation MOLBLOC system. This requirement supports the NAVAIR Metrology and Calibration Program and includes various sonic and laminar flow elements as well as air and gas calibration points. The procurement is intended to support an existing system contract to ensure critical measurement accuracy and original system performance. The government intends to award this as a sole source contract to Fluke Corporation, as they are the original equipment manufacturer and sole owner of the necessary technical drawings, specifications, and data rights. Because the government does not possess the data required to allow for full and open competition, OEM parts are deemed necessary to maintain operational standards. This notice serves as an intent to award rather than a request for competitive proposals, though the government will consider responses for a limited period to determine if competition is viable.
