Procurement of CT7-8A6 Engine Components
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a modification to a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) delivery order and a new FFP delivery order under a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) to General Electric Aircraft Engines (GEAE) for the procurement of various CT7-8A6 engine components in support of the Presidential Helicopters Program.
This order will be issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements."
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of contract actions for the efforts described above. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. All responses received by the Government within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete these proposed contract actions based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
