This contract focuses on supporting the international implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) traceability rule by continuing to provide education, training, and outreach through the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA). The FSPCA has played a key role in developing and delivering industry training that helps firms comply with various FSMA requirements, with an emphasis on the traceability rule. Although the FDA's Office of Imports and Exports (OIE) has not funded the FSPCA in the past one to two years, there is renewed interest in providing support to ensure ongoing international training is available to foreign firms subject to these rules. The contract, associated with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), aims to maintain an efficient and effective training mechanism to assist foreign entities in understanding and implementing traceability regulations under FSMA. It addresses the need for continued education to help ensure food safety compliance on an international scale. While specific solicitation details and points of contact are provided, some contracting officer information remains to be determined. The contract also falls under the NAICS code 541715, indicating a focus on research and development in the physical, engineering, and life sciences fields.
