Foothill Water Tank Site Grading Project

The Nipomo Community Services District is soliciting bids for the Foothill Water Tank Site Grading Project located at 131 S. Dana Foothill Road in Nipomo, California. The project involves re-grading an existing water tank site to expand the pad area for future tanks, which includes site grading, hauling off excess materials, and installing a new driveway, access road, curb and gutter, and perimeter fencing. Additional scope includes the installation of a drainage basin, discharge piping, storm drain piping, and the lowering of existing utilities. The work must be completed within 180 successive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The contract will be awarded to the responsible contractor providing the lowest base bid. Eligible bidders must possess a valid Class A General Engineering contractor license from the California Contractor State License Board, a local business license from San Luis Obispo County, and current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations per Labor Code Section 1725.5. Bids are due by 2:00 p.m. on October 22, 2026, and must include a bid security of ten percent of the total bid price. Attendance at the pre-bid conference and site visit on October 1st is mandatory. For any excavations five feet deep or more, a detailed worker protection plan prepared by a registered civil or structural engineer must be submitted as a bid item. The successful contractor must also provide payment and performance bonds equal to one hundred percent of the construction cost.
