For the Lubbock State Supported Living Center Interior & Exterior Doors Installation and Repairs

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking competitive bids under Invitation for Bids HHS0017458 to establish a contract for interior and exterior door installation and repair services at the Lubbock State Supported Living Center located at 3401 North University, Lubbock, Texas 79415. The work encompasses all aspects of door installation, demolition, and repair across the facility, requiring the contractor to furnish all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to complete the scope, including supervision of personnel, cleanup, and proper disposal of waste. All doors must be commercial grade, hollow metal or wood, with a minimum one-hour fire rating and a thickness of 1.75 inches; contractors are required to measure existing openings prior to ordering. The contractor must maintain a business location within twenty miles of the facility and submit written estimates with explanations of proposed repairs and warranties before commencing any work. All proposed materials and specifications must be approved by the designated LSSLc representative prior to initiation of work. The contract term begins on the date of award and expires on August 31, 2026, with no renewals permitted; however, HHSC retains the sole discretion, subject to funding availability, to extend the contract for up to one additional year to ensure service continuity, process a new solicitation, secure a new contract, or facilitate a transition.
