Forensic Data Acquisition Devices

The purpose of this amendment is to provide additional information under this sole-source notice. The Infinity Cubev3 is a proprietary forensic acquisition machine produced based on specific forensics requirements. The custom prototype of this unit has been successfully certified and validated by law-enforcement to meet requirements for data integrity during data acquisition. The prototype has also been certified for use with the specific software used by Digital Investigators and has been proven to be compatible with lab analysis forensic computers currently in use by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The Infinity Cubev3 is not available for resale through any partners or distributors and is only available for direct purchase through Infinity Technologies. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) intends to negotiate on a Sole Source Basis with Infinity Computers Inc., Fredericksburg, VA for Forensic Data Acquisition Devices for the following items: thirty (30) each units of Cubev3 Forensic Workstations for the ATF office located at 45250 B Severn Way in Sterling, VA 20166. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. There is no solicitation available for this requirement. This requirement will be awarded through the Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13.
