In August 2022 the Monongahela National Forest received heavy rains resulting in flood damage to multiple Forest Service roads including multiple locations on Forest Road 76. The Forest applied for and received funding from Federal Highways Emergency Relief of Federally Owned Roads program (event WV-2022-1-FS). This project is comprised of constructing three (3) soldier pile walls to stabilized damage to road embankments repair a damaged bridge abutment stabilized stream banks and remove debris from stream the stream channel at two of the qualifying locations.
