Forestry and Parks - Request for Quotes - Whitney Lakes Provincial Park, Ross Lake Campground Roof Replacement

Whitney Lakes Provincial Park, located in southeastern Alberta approximately 80 kilometers north of Vermilion and 250 kilometers east of Edmonton, is undergoing urgent roof replacement at three structures within the Ross Lake Campground. The existing cedar shake–style roofing on these assets has reached the end of its serviceable life and must be fully replaced with durable standing seam metal roofing to provide long-term protection against environmental exposure in the park’s forested and wetland-rich environment. The project aims to ensure the continued operational integrity of the campground facilities, which are managed by Alberta Parks, by eliminating the risks associated with aging, deteriorating roofing materials. The Government of Alberta, through its Forestry and Parks division, has issued Request for Quote AB-2026-03881 to solicit competitive bids from qualified contractors with demonstrated experience in commercial and institutional roofing projects. Proposers must submit detailed quotations using the prescribed Unit Price Schedule format by the deadline of June 18, 2026. Selection will be based on the vendor’s qualifications, experience, pricing, and ability to meet project specifications. The successful contractor will enter into a formal agreement under the terms outlined in the RFQ, with work to be performed at the Ross Lake Campground location within Whitney Lakes Provincial Park, and all communications regarding the procurement must be directed to Contracting Authority Michael B.
