Forestry and Parks - VERMILION PROVINCIAL PARK SHOP DOOR WIDENING AND SIDING REPLACEMENT

The project involves replacing the existing overhead door and wooden siding at the maintenance shop in Vermilion Provincial Park, located approximately 180 kilometers east of Sherwood Park, Alberta, along Highway AB 16. The objective is to install a wider 14-foot by 10-foot overhead door in white, along with a 3/4hp commercial wall-mount garage door opener featuring a chain hoist, to facilitate easier access for larger equipment. The existing door and siding will be removed, and the door opening will be reframed to accommodate the new dimensions. New 26-gauge metal cladding in tan color, specifically Westform Metals WF-12-36R® or an approved equivalent, will be installed across the building’s exterior, which measures approximately 32 feet wide by 18 feet deep with a 4/12 pitch roof. All work must ensure the facility remains secure during the replacement process, and installation must follow the manufacturer’s specifications. Mobilization and demobilization of equipment are required, along with the supply and transport of all materials to the site. The contractor must handle the complete removal of old materials, installation of the new door and cladding, and thorough cleanup of the work area. All debris generated during the project must be removed from the site and disposed of offsite; it cannot be placed in Parks refuse containers.
