Fountain Square Concrete Replacement

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Office of General Services, is seeking a qualified supplier for concrete replacement services at the Fountain Square Office Complex in Columbus, Ohio. The scope of work involves the removal and disposal of damaged sidewalks, curbs, and concrete steps, followed by the installation of new 4-inch concrete with a strength of 4000 psi and fiber reinforcement. The contractor is responsible for leveling areas with crushed 304 limestone, installing fiber expansion joints, and managing site safety through the use of barricades and foot traffic control. Additionally, the supplier must hire a private utility location service prior to demolition and provide a minimum one-year workmanship warranty upon completion. The contract will be awarded by line item to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. All work must be completed by November 13, 2026, although the purchase order remains valid for services received through June 30, 2027. Failure to meet the completion date may result in liquidated damages at a rate of one percent of the total contract value per day. The contractor is also responsible for daily site cleaning and mitigating nuisances such as noise and dust for existing tenants. Invoices must be submitted to Financial Shared Services and include specific identifiers, such as Origin-DNR-488 and the assigned purchase order number, to ensure payment.
