FXSB 26-6770 Repair Replace Roof B10571

A site visit is scheduled for June 8 at 1:00 PM local time for the repair and replacement of the roof on Building 10571, a one-story historic structure built in the early 1940s spanning 68,986 square feet with a steel and cast concrete frame and CMU infill. The building features a central open area measuring 200 feet by 229 feet topped by a high barrel roof covering approximately 50,000 square feet, along with three low-slope lean-to roof sections: the North at 36 feet by 268 feet, the South at 36 feet by 229 feet, and the West at 36 feet by 180 feet. The project will remove the existing built-up roof from both the barrel section and all three lean-tos down to the structural decking and replace them with new systems: a three-ply SBS-modified built-up roof with a granular cap sheet on the barrel roof and 90-mil EPDM membrane on each of the lean-to sections, all fully adhered. The scope includes full replacement of roof drains, flashings, vent pipe penetrations, cover board, insulation, vapor barrier, cant strips, and metal copings and trim.
