FY12 CGC DEPENDABLE DOCKSIDE

USCGC DEPENDABLE DOCKSIDE FY12 The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Contracting and Procurement Branch 1, intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for Dockside Repairs to USCGC CONFIDENCE (WMEC-626). The Coast Guard intends to conduct procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICS Code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. The acquisition will be issued as a 100% HUBZone Set-Aside, Best Value Request for Quote (RFQ) on or about February 17, 2012. The RFQ will be issued via the Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page at www.fbo.gov. This requirement will be evaluated using past performance as an evaluation factor. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. FEDBIZOPPS also contains an optional automatic notification service. A C-D ROM containing all applicable drawings will be available free of charge to contractors upon request no later than six (6) days from the solicitation issuance. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g. *.DWF, etc.) All work will be performed at the vessels home pier in Cape May, NJ. The Coast Guard intents to award a fixed- price requirements contract. The scope of the acquisition will include but is not limited to: Main Engine Heat Exchangers, Clean, Inspect and Hydro Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust Stack Uptakes, Clean Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) Exhaust Piping, Commercial Clean Boiler Exhaust Stack Uptakes, Commercial Clean Chill Water System, General Maintenance Potable Water Pneumatic Tanks, Clean, Inspect and Test Compressed Air Receivers, Clean, Inspect and Test Steering Gear (General), Overhaul Anchor, Anchor Chain, Ground Tackle, Inspect, Repair and Preserve Renew Crankcase Exhauster Gooseneck Piping Steam Valves, Renew Single Point Davit, Inspect & Service Helo Talon Grid, Inspect and Test Grey Water Holding Tanks, Clean and Inspect Sewage Holding Tank, Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Piping, Clean and Flush Tanks (Grey Water Holding), Preserve, Partial Tank (Sewage Holding), Preserve, Partial Control Air Dryer, Upgrade, TCTO TM5000 Vent Ducts, Repair, CSMP 2010007 and 2011011 Potable Water Valves, Renew, CSMP 2011006 Fantail Railing, Renew, CSMP 2011008 Counter Measure Washdown System Repairs, CSMP 2011009 Oily Water Seperator Tank, Renew, CSMP 2011010 Pad Eyes, Inspect and Test Potential sources that intend to submit an offer for this acquisition must fully demonstrate that they have the engineering capability, design and technical expertise to accomplish the requirements stated in the above paragraph and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona-fide capability to meet the requirements. Evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope will be required, to include contract numbers, project title, dollar amount, points of contact and phone numbers. The performance period is 57 days, with a start date on or about June 6, 2012.
