THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. It is neither a solicitation nor a Request for Quote (RFQ) and it does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The Government will reimburse any costs associated with preparing a response to this notice. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research, identify potential qualified vendors, and determine their Small Business Administration (SBA) size classification under NAICS 334510 – Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing (size standard: 1,250 employees). The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 8, is seeking sources capable of providing a new and updated Medtronic GI Genius Intelligent Endoscopy Module for the VA Caribbean Healthcare System. The Government is considering trade‑in options for the replacement of the Medtronic GI Genius Intelligent Endoscopy Module, CB17808‑EU. The contemplated acquisition includes replacement, purchase, delivery, and training on the new equipment.
NOTE: The following item includes equipment manufactured by Medtronic. We are requesting information for an EQUAL product with preference at this time for domestic products. The domestic product must meet or exceed the salient characteristics provided as follows:

- Intelligent Endoscopy Module: The module is computer-aided polyp detection system of various sizes, shapes and morphologies powered by artificial intelligence.
- Enhanced visualization: The GI Genius endoscopy module empower physicians to detect colorectal polyps through enhanced visualization during the colonoscopy.
- Precision: Endoscopists with higher adenoma detection rates (ADR) during screening colonoscopy, more effectively protect their patients from colorectal cancer.
- Increase Adenoma Detection Rates (ADR): Module has been shown to increase ADR by up to 14.4%.2 Each 1% increase in ADR decreases the risk of interval cancer by 3%.
- Sensitivity rate: GI Genius module has a 99.7% sensitivity rate and less than 1% false positives.
- Field of View: 140° or 170° viewing angle
- Depth of field: upper range of 100 mm
Endoscopy Video Processors Compatibility
GI Genius Module 300 is compatible with VPs featuring HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M), 3G-SDI (SMPTE 424M), 6G/SDI (SMPTE ST2081)
or 12G/SDI (SMPTE ST2082) output port and displays featuring HD-SDI (SMPTE 292M), 3G-SDI (SMPTE 424M), 6G-SDI (SMPTE
ST2081) or 12G-SDI (SMPTE ST2082) input ports.
GI Genius system is only compatible with the following VPs:
- Olympus CV-180 EXERA II;
- Olympus CV-190 EXERA III;
- Fujifilm VP-4450HD;
- Pentax EPK-i7000;
- Fujifilm VP-7000;
- Olympus CV-1500 EVIS X1;
- Pentax EPK-i8020c;
- Pentax EPK-i5500c.
