The Benning Rd Bridges and Transportation Improvements Phase 1 Project is comprised of replacing structurally deficient Benning Road NE bridge over DC-295 (Anacostia Freeway) and CSX freight rail tracks, improve safety and access through modifications of the Benning Road NE and DC-295 interchange The intended construction work for this project also consists of Benning Road safety improvements along Benning Road between 34TH Street and Minnesota Avenue including the interchange at Anacostia Freeway (DC-295) and Benning Road, and other work as shown on the contract plans and indicated in the specifications/special provisions.
