G099--RFI: On-Site Employee Whole Health Chair Massage Services

The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified contractors capable of providing on-site chair massage services in support of the Employee Whole Health Program at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas, and its eleven Community-Based Outpatient Clinics across the region. This initiative aims to enhance employee well-being, reduce workplace stress, and alleviate physical tension associated with demanding VA roles. The required services include 104 annual events consisting of 10- to 15-minute chair massage sessions delivered during four-hour blocks, with sessions performed while clients remain fully clothed. Service locations include the main medical center, the VA Domiciliary, and multiple CBOCs in Beaumont, Lufkin, Conroe, Galveston, Katy, Humble, Richmond, Sugar Land, Texas City, Tomball, and Lake Jackson. Events will be scheduled across daytime, after-hours (including 10 sessions between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. at the main facility and one at the Domiciliary), and during special occasions such as Nurses Week, the Whole Health Fair, and holiday events. The contractor must supply all necessary equipment, including massage chairs, disposable face cradle covers, cleaning supplies, and music, while ensuring all therapists are licensed, insured, have at least five years of relevant experience, and have passed background checks. Compliance with current CDC and medical center infection control protocols, including those related to COVID-19, is mandatory.
