AI Contract Overview
The contract specifies the procurement of four dial indicating pressure gauges with part number 6685-01-200-2983, supplied by Ashcroft Inc and Raytheon Company, under solicitation SPE7M1-26-U-4045. The items must comply with all technical and quality requirements referenced through R and I numbers in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, with revisions controlled by the solicitation issue date. Sampling and inspection follow MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331 with zero non-conformances required unless otherwise stated in the contract; attributes are assigned verification levels or AQLs as specified, and unspecified attributes are treated as major. Mercury or mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited from direct contact with the hardware except for specific exceptions like functional uses in batteries, lights, sensors, weapon systems, or NAVSEA-specified reagents, and any portable devices containing mercury must be shockproof with a secondary containment barrier per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Packaging and shipping must adhere to MIL-STD-2073-1E and DLA Packaging Requirements, with special marking indicating “Delicate Instrument” (Code 05) and compliance with MIL-STD-129 for labeling. The units are to be packed in D3 containers, with intermediate containers in quantities of 44, and palletized per RP001 guidelines. The contract mandates delivery within 50 days FOB origin, with no tolerance for quantity variance, and inspection and acceptance occur at the destination. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 334512, issued by the Department of Defense’s Maritime Supply Chain, with Bryan Fair listed as the primary point of contact. The estimated quantity reflects a potential purchase by the IDC and is subject to final contract execution.
