Full Description

The Defense Logistics Agency, Troop Support, Philadelphia, PA Medical Directorate intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Sole Source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) to General Electric Company DBA GE Healthcare, 3000 N Grandview BLVD W-443 Waukesha, WI 53188-1615 for the procurement of a brand name Digital Imaging Network-Picture Archive Communications System (DIN-PACS) Service Maintenance Agreement. This order for brand name maintenance, to be performed November 01, 2017 through October 31, 2018, will be placed on a sole source basis with GE Healthcare as the following circumstance in FAR 13.106-1(b) applies: only one source is capable of providing the services required at the level of quality required because the servicers are unique or highly specialized. The maintenance is for a DIN-PACS already in place at the DOD Military Working Dog Center, Lackland AFB, Texas. The absence of this maintenance could negatively impact the fidelity and the performance of the procedures exercised, and would decrease the utility and relevance of the equipment. Thus, only the exact brand name maintenance will meet the customer's needs. The estimated value of this contract is $35,585.34 Delivery of maintenance service will occur November 1, 2017 through October 31, 2018. The anticipated award date is October 19, 2017. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, that all responsible sources and interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting technical data for this requirement data within 7 calendar days of this notice posting (no later than October 17, 2017, by 02:00 PM EST, to Ryan Jeffries, via email at ryan.jeffries@dla.mil, which shall be considered by the agency. Please note telephone calls will not be honored. DLA Troop Support intends to solicit this requirement orally in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(c), thus no written solicitation will be issued.
