General Landscaping Services

The City of Hudson, Ohio, is soliciting bids for General Landscaping Services to provide professional grounds maintenance for city-owned parcels, including greens, landscape beds, gardens, and restorative landscaping. The scope of work encompasses edging, mowing, mulching, debris removal, weed control, string trimming, watering, and pruning at various locations such as Town Hall, Downtown greens, and the Barlow Community Center. The contract is a unit price agreement with an initial performance period from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2028, and includes an option to renew for an additional two-year term. Award will be granted to the lowest and best responsive bidder, provided the total price does not exceed 10 percent above the estimated cost. Contractors must maintain a combined single limit of 1,000,000 dollars for General and Automobile Liability Insurance and provide a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond or Performance Bond equal to the contract price. Invoicing is managed through the Public Works Department, with payments issued within 30 days of receipt of invoices that detail the exact location of services, labor, materials, and equipment used. Annual rate adjustments for labor and equipment are capped at 3 percent or the most recent Consumer Price Index increase for the East Coast, whichever is lower. Bidders must submit all proposals electronically via Bid Express and provide a Delinquent Personal Property Tax Statement in compliance with Ohio Revised Code Section 5719:042.
