General Plumbing Repairs and Maintenance

The Government of Yukon is establishing a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for general plumbing repairs and maintenance services across various communities and traditional locations in the Yukon. This three-year agreement, with an estimated total value of 125,000.00 dollars, covers as-needed services including domestic water systems, plumbing fixtures, hot water systems, drainage, and pump repairs. The scope encompasses general non-emergency call-outs, immediate emergency responses, and preventative maintenance. All work must comply with the National Plumbing Code of Canada, CSA standards, and Yukon Government Design Requirements and Technical Standards. Contractors are evaluated based on an Adjusted Total Price, which considers hourly rates for journeymen, apprentices, and supervisors, adjusted by a travel and accommodation factor based on the home location. A 15 percent Bid Value Reduction is applied for the use of Yukon First Nation labour. Key requirements include a minimum of 2,000,000.00 dollars in commercial general liability insurance, compliance with the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Act, and registration with the Yukon First Nation Business Registry. Payments for undisputed invoices are processed within 30 calendar days. The owner maintains the right to terminate the agreement without cause at any time.
