The U.S. Government, through the General Services Administration, is seeking to lease approximately 68,537 square feet of office and related space in Frederick, Maryland, with a lease term of ten years, including a firm period of five years and options for renewal. The delineated area for the space is precisely defined by a detailed boundary encompassing major roads and intersections around Frederick, ensuring the space's location aligns with government needs. The lease requires the space to be contiguous across floors, with 24/7 access for government personnel, and includes provisions for a fully serviced lease meeting fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards. Parking is a significant consideration, with at least 249 surface spaces designated for visitors and one reserved surface parking space. Interested parties must submit their Expressions of Interest by November 7, 2025, providing comprehensive details such as building name, address, available space, rental rates, floor plans, and authorized contact information. The government is only considering existing buildings and will evaluate proposals based on cost, location, and suitability, considering the potential costs associated with relocating from current leased space. The procurement process emphasizes compliance with telecommunications restrictions under Section 889 of the FY19 NDAA and requires that the space not be located within the 1-percent-annual-chance floodplain. The lease is intended to accommodate the government's current and future operational needs, with occupancy targeted for November 7, 2026, and offers renewal options to extend the lease. The process is governed by specific regulations outlined in the Request for Lease Proposal, and interested entities must provide proper ownership or authorization documentation to participate.
