Full Description

The Broadcasting Broad of Governors (BBG) International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Gregory Poole of Raleigh, NC (the local authorized regional Caterpillar Service center) to maintain the generator/switchgear at the Greenville, NC Transmitting Station (GTS) Site A. This Sole Source procurement will implement the Extended Warranty program for the generator unit, which is provided exclusively by Caterpillar, Inc. and is authorized to be administered only through authorized Caterpillar Service centers. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811310 entitled "Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electric)" - $6.5 million. Services shall be performed in accordance with the statement of work. The period of performance is one base year from date of award with four option years. GTS is an active high frequency transmission site and work shall be performed without interfering with IBB/VOA's broadcast schedule.
