11. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for Geochemical Analyses of the Coso Geothermal Field and Coso Hot Springs Monitoring Program
12. The purpose of this contract combines the existing Coso well geochemistry and CHS geochemistry datasets into a single database. This database will be updated annually with Coso well geochemical data and CHS geochemical data provided to the Contractor by GPO. In addition, the Contractor shall add isotope data from Coso and adjacent areas to this Coso Geochemical Database.
13. Procurement Method: Solicitation for Commercial Items using Contracting by Negotiation Procedures

15. The Government intends to award this contract to only one contractor.
16. The contract term will consist of a 12-month base period and four one-year option periods. Only the base period of the contract will offer a minimum guarantee. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause.

If adequate interest is not received from SB concerns, the solicitation will be issued as unrestricted without further notice.
