Full Description
1. Glenolden Borough 2026 Milling and Paving Project
All documents and solicitation details will be available and open to public inspection anytime online at PennBid by clicking on the “Access Projects on the Active Bidding Site” tab. The bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay a fee to PennBid™. The names of those who have secured plans/specifications may be obtained at PennBid™.
The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Glenolden.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner within 20 days of the contract award.
This project involves road milling, placement of Superpave wearing course, and appurtenant work.
This project is subject to prevailing wage rates in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Prospective bidders must be pre-quaified with PENNDOT in accordance with Section 102.01 of PENNDOT Publication 408 – Specifications, latest edition thereof. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $870.00 per calendar day.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality in the bids, as they deem for the best interest of the Borough.
