Full Description
Technical support services to coordinate effort to develop national standards for Maritime Electronic Systems. This includes the development of plans to resolve GMDSS implementation problems, facilitate meetings, and support the development of the Coast Guard and United States position for the International Maritime Organization (IMO) including both the Maritime Safety Committee and the Subcommittee on Navigation, Communications, Search and Rescue (NCSR), International Telecommunications Union (ITU), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), Comité International Radio-Maritime (CIRM), as well as national standards bodies.
Coordinate the Digital@Sea North America event. Coordinate with International Organization for Marine Aids to Navigation (IALA) and national aids to navigation authorities to develop the topics/agenda to host the Digital@Sea North America event.
