Grande Spirit Foundation - Request for Proposal - DeBolt Beautification Project – Civil Engineering and Landscape Design Services

Grande Spirit Foundation (GSF) is inviting proposals from qualified civil engineering and landscape-design consultants to provide professional design services for the DeBolt Beautification Project at 14 and 15, 72127 Range Road 11, DeBolt, Alberta, legally described as Plan 1273HW, Block 1, Lots 4 and 5. The selected consultant will assess the existing site and develop the preliminary concepts into a coordinated, tender-ready design package. The anticipated scope includes an existing-conditions review and site survey; detailed site layout; grading and drainage design; accessible concrete walkways and pads; gravel parking improvements; gazebo relocation, foundation and anchoring details; landscaping and site-amenity planning; technical specifications; quantity estimates; and a Class C construction cost estimate. The consultant must also review site-stability considerations associated with the former development and identify whether geotechnical investigation or other specialized engineering is required. Any required subconsultants must be identified in the proposal. Proponents should provide separate pricing for the base design services and any optional or additional services, including geotechnical investigation, permitting assistance, tender support, construction administration, site inspections and record drawings, where applicable. This opportunity is for professional design and planning services only. Construction will be procured separately following completion and approval of the design package. Proponents are responsible for reviewing the Scope of Services, Deliverables, Proposal Submission Requirements and Evaluation Criteria contained in the solicitation document. Proposals must include the consultant’s qualifications, relevant project experience, proposed methodology, project team, schedule, fee breakdown and references. Submissions must be received through the method identified in the solicitation document before the stated closing date and time. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Engineering firms must hold a current APEGA Permit to Practice, with work completed by an Alberta-licensed professional engineer. The successful consultant must provide proof of liability insurance, professional errors-and-omissions insurance, and WCB-Alberta coverage. Preliminary drawings are conceptual only; proponents must verify site conditions and identify all subconsultants.
