GRASS MAINTENANCE

Nunez Community College is soliciting bids for high-quality grounds maintenance services under solicitation number 40015-NUNEZ-GMS2026. The contract consists of a three-year term with two optional one-year renewals. The scope of work includes basic lawn services with weekly cuts from May to September and biweekly cuts from October to April, basic landscape maintenance such as bed edging and shrub pruning for plants under eight feet, and tree limb trimming below seven feet. Additional requirements include monthly chemical applications for fertilization and insect control, monthly irrigation monitoring, and annual pine needle mulching one to two times per year. Bids must be submitted on a per-visit pricing basis in a sealed envelope with the bid number clearly marked on the outside by September 16, 2026. A critical requirement for bid validity is the submission of a Job Site Visit Certification signed by both the vendor and a college representative; failure to provide this document will result in disqualification. Bidders must also provide a company history and professional references. The successful contractor is required to maintain comprehensive general liability insurance of at least one million dollars per occurrence and two million dollars in the aggregate, as well as automobile liability and workman's compensation insurance meeting Louisiana state law.
