Tenders are invited by the R.M. of Mervin No. 499 for the crushing of approximately 50,000 cubic yards of gravel as follows: SW 26-54-20-W3 (Christal Pit) 50,000 cubic yards of 1-inch type traffic gravel as per specifications listed in Schedule “A” of the Instruction to Bidders document. Gravel is to be crushed in 2027 and completed by May 31, 2027. Gravel will be stockpiled on site. The contractor must crush the product from the area of the pit as shown in the attached picture. Tenders must be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. CST on October 5, 2026. Each Tender shall include the information contained in the Tender Documents which can be obtained by clicking on the attached document files, or by contacting the R.M. of Mervin office by phone at 306-845-2045 or e-mail at [email protected].
Crusher must have the capability to crush a minimum of 24-inch sized rock. Potential bidders must familiarize themselves with the extent of the work required, make themselves thoroughly acquainted with all the requirements of this tender, and obtain all information necessary for the preparation of the bid including the location of the pits. It is recommended that bidders view the pits before tending. The R.M. will pay per cubic yard for finished product crushed to the required specifications and as measured by the R.M.’s engineer. The payment per yard is calculated solely on the product that is crushed to the R.M.’s specifications and piled for the R.M. A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the contract is to be provided with the tender. A Performance Bond in the amount of $20,000.00 is required within 21 days the tender being awarded. The full amount will be returned if project is completed by the specified date. Payment will be made within 30 days of the completion of the final measurement of the piles. No progress payments will be made. Saskatchewan Worker’s Compensation account number and the appropriate clearance letter must be included in the tender package.
