Gravity Sewer Creek Crossing Upgrades

The Orange Water and Sewer Authority is soliciting bids for the Gravity Sewer Creek Crossing Upgrades project, identified as CIP No. 276-53, located in Carrboro, North Carolina. This unit price general construction contract involves the installation of approximately 223 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water pipe, 211 linear feet of 12-inch PVC gravity sewer, and 87 linear feet of 18-inch stainless steel gravity sewer. The scope of work includes valve assemblies, connections to existing mains, pressure and disinfection testing, sanitary sewer manholes, erosion control, and stream and crossing stabilizations. Sealed bids are due by 2:00 P.M. on November 10, 2026, and must be submitted to the administrative offices at 400 Jones Ferry Road in Carrboro. Bidders are required to provide a bid deposit of 5% of the bid amount via certified check or bid bond and must submit a Non-Collusion Affidavit pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes. Additionally, the prime contractor and all subcontractors must possess valid North Carolina General Contractor's Licenses. The project timeline requires substantial completion within 90 consecutive calendar days and final completion within 120 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. Awarding will be based on the best interest of the Orange Water and Sewer Authority.
