==========Amendment 2============== The purpose of this amendment to provide feedback to a question received that was unable to be answered in Bidders Inquiry. The following question was submitted: Spec section 01 00 00 para 1.1 states - Dewatering of the Great Salt Plains stilling basins and lowering of the downstream tailwater will not occur during performance of this work. All work within the stilling basins will be accomplished under water. Contractor proposes a variation to perform bypass pumping at the upper, intermediate, and lower basins. During this diversion of water, the tail water elevation will not be altered. Will the government allow this variation? Government response: This would be allowable. Corps of Engineers will not de-water stilling basin nor dictate means and methods. This would not necessarily require a variation. Just a means and method.
