The Department of War’s Washington Headquarters Services Acquisition Directorate has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified contractors capable of providing Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems and related accessories. This market research initiative seeks input primarily from small businesses certified under NAICS Code 334511, which covers search, detection, navigation, guidance, aeronautical, and nautical system and instrument manufacturing, though all qualified contractors are encouraged to respond. The RFI is purely for information gathering and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals, quotes, or bids. Responses will help the agency determine market capabilities before finalizing their acquisition strategy for this requirement, described in an attached Statement of Work dated June 5, 2026. Interested parties are asked to submit a capabilities statement demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements without merely repeating the Statement of Work, along with a Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimate. Additional requested information includes company details, size, ownership categories, and any recommendations for improving the requirements. Responses must be submitted electronically by 5:00 P.M. EST on June 12, 2026, to designated points of contact and are limited to five single-sided pages, excluding charts and graphics. The government will not pay for any submissions, will not form a binding agreement from these responses, nor will it acknowledge receipt. Participation in this RFI does not preclude future involvement in ensuing solicitations.
