Group Life Assurance

Orbit Group Limited is seeking a qualified insurer or provider to deliver Group Life Assurance services for eligible employees under solicitation GPL0295. The objective is to establish a reliable, compliant, and cost-effective death in service benefit to provide financial protection for nominated beneficiaries. The contract has an estimated value of 891,000 GBP including VAT, with an initial term running from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027 and a potential extension through 31 December 2029. Award decisions will be based on a weighting of 70 percent for price and 30 percent for quality. Eligible bidders must be insurers or providers capable of contracting directly with Orbit; submissions from brokers or intermediaries acting solely in an advisory capacity are prohibited. The successful provider must be FCA authorized and demonstrate the technical ability to migrate existing members into a new scheme without re-underwriting. Key requirements include the use of secure data transfer methods such as SFTP for handling sensitive health data and a commitment to work collaboratively with Orbit's appointed broker, EBC.
