The purpose of this project is to support recreation site restoration following Hurricane Helene. These minor site features and infrastructure are necessary for the operation of overnight sites and day use areas to ensure that the public has the information that they need to follow regulations. The contract is necessary to ensure quality amenities are provided at correct locations for the public to recreate across the forest. Not implementing this contract would mean recreation sites would either not be able to open or would open with reduced amenities. Contracting requested this action.
