The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 8 in West Palm Beach, FL plans to award a sole source purchase order to LBT Diagnostic Radiation Physics Consulting Ltd., a verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), for physicist survey services of radiation equipment. This contract covers annual radiation physics quality assurance inspections for diagnostic imaging systems such as X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, PET/CT, and nuclear medicine equipment, requiring a qualified and credentialed diagnostic medical physicist to ensure compliance with ACR and MQSA standards. The contract's estimated total value over five years, including base and four one-year options, is approximately $309,000. The sole source award is authorized under 38 U.S.C. 8127(b) and VAAR 819.7008, as LBT meets all technical and regulatory requirements, has demonstrated successful prior performance on identical VA contracts, and market research confirmed its capability for immediate performance. This action is not a solicitation for competitive offers, though any capability statements received may be reviewed to determine if a future competitive procurement is needed. The contracting officer has determined the price to be fair and reasonable, and the procurement falls below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold or within the specified regulatory limits for sole source SDVOSB awards. The point of contact for this contract opportunity is William L Bridger, Contracting Officer at the VA.
