HAAS Milling Machine Evaluation/Repair

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Phillips Corporation, 7390 Coca Cola Drive, Ste 200, Hanover, MD, 21076-1768, (Cage Code: 3MPQ0) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b) (i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to establish a purchase order for the replacement of the Pendant and color LCD Screen, main con upgrade kit with evaluation and option for repair on the HAAS Milling Machine. HAAS Automation Inc., is the OEM, they maintain all data rights to their equipment and software. Market research has determined that Phiillips Corporation is the only qualified distributor that can provide the required repair/service, including replacements. Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Phillips Corporation, the sole and authorized distributor of HAAS CNC Machine tools and any associated factory certified service, training and applications work. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
