Full Description

Sealed bids for Hammon Avenue Improvements – Ephrata Borough Bid #24-2 will be received by the Borough of Ephrata via PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) until 10:00 AM, local prevailing time, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at which time all bids will be publicly opened online. In general, the work shall consist of, but not be limited to, furnishing all required bonds, insurances and required forms, general superintendence, labor, materials, equipment, appurtenances and incidentals required for completion of the prescribed street improvements, including, but not limited to: ADA ramp installations, storm water catch basin replacements, approximately 500 SY of pavement base repairs, mechanical milling of approximately 9,100 SY of existing asphalt pavement, asphalt overlay approximately 9,100 SY of milled pavement surfaces, pavement markings, mobilization / demobilization, traffic control and all else necessary or required to satisfactorily complete the project. Project limits are partly within Ephrata Township and Ephrata Borough municipal boundaries. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the required form, certified check, letter of credit, or other security acceptable to the Borough of Ephrata in the amount of 10% of the bidder’s total amount of their base bid. The Contractor shall ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, age, religion, sex, or national origin. This contract is subject to current Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act conditions. This contract is subject to the Federal Occupational Safety & Health Act of 1970 (OSHA) conditions. This contract is subject to PA Act 127 (Public Works Employment Verification). Contractors must submit verification forms acknowledging compliance with the Federal law concerning the use of the E-Verify Program. Providing verification is a pre-condition of the award of the contract. In addition, prior to commencing work on the project, the Contractor shall submit all subcontractor verification forms. This contract is subject to Pennsylvania Human Relations Act 222 conditions. This contract is subject to the non-discrimination in Employment/Contract Compliance Regulations conditions. The Borough of Ephrata reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award the bid in the best interests of the Borough.
